New York - Present Day

Laila Brooks is oddly drawn to the man on the King of Cups card in the tarot deck her best friend sent to Laila for her birthday.  When she later finds the man sitting in her living room - in the flesh, she’s stunned.  With her job at Rarities Incorporated, Laila is accustomed to paranormal beings, but having one appear off a tarot deck is a little much to deal with, no matter how sexy he is.

Cursed into the tarot deck thousands of years ago, Aleneic, the King of Cups now has roughly seven days on Earth to find the Golden Tarot and break the curse.  Laila, with her computer skills and determination to succeed in saving him, bring out something in Aleneic that he isn’t used to feeling: hope.

The King of Cups is known for his generous nature, but it is that very generosity that got Aleneic cursed in the first place in GOLDEN SEDUCTION.  Every eight hundred years or so, he has a chance to break the curse, but the mortals who have been able to help him in the past haven’t been willing to do so on his terms.  Laila is the first person to offer help, no strings attached.  Laila is a self-proclaimed computer geek, whose primary job is to research the unique items Rarities Incorporated is looking for.  She has never before been out in the field, so helping Aleneic is an adventure for her.  The attraction between them is strong, but they put their search ahead of their lust for most of the story.

Don’t miss GOLDEN SEDUCTION, the latest intriguing addition to the Torrid Tarot series.
