Hivernia and the Southern Isles

Kyla is heartily sick of the war.  Fairy princesses are supposed to dress gaily, eat scrumptious foods and have fun, but for too long now, Kyla has been living in a boring castle with her elderly aunt and two servants.  The elf that arrives with a message could provide some excitement, but his obvious disapproval of Kyla and his grumpy nature make her decide to dose him with the little love potion she concocted earlier in the day.  Learning that he’s to set sail for the Southern Isles, Kyla also decides it’s time for a little adventure of her own.

Merlin thinks the fairy Kyla is nothing but a spoiled little brat, so why can’t he stop thinking of her?  When he realizes she’s stowed away on the ship he and his twin are using for an important mission Merlin is angry – and turned on.  Every day they work together silently to reach their destination, yet at night the two are insatiable.  But how will Merlin react when he learns of the potion?

The third book in the Fairnight series, MERLIN’S SONG is an interesting story.  While it focuses mainly on Kyla and Merlin, and to a lesser extent, Merlin’s twin Sebring, the parts of the story that deal with the ongoing war with the Mouse King may be better understood if you have read the previous stories, ELF SONG and LLEWELLYN’S SONG.  The relationship between Kyla and Merlin starts off purely sexual, and a bit kinky, then slowly blossoms into something more.  A satisfying conclusion to the series, check out MERLIN’S SONG.
