Vestia, the North - Future

Dayanara, Alana, and Wathalia are the triplet daughters of the king and queen of Vestia. One of them must go on a quest to obtain a magic circlet that is needed to restore the life force to the kingdom. Wathalia knows that she is the one to travel to the North to retrieve it.

The princesses have lived together all their lives and have been protected. Part of that protection is the safety of their childbearing abilities. It is dangerous for either of the sisters to go anywhere without carrying the 'essence' of a trusted partner within them.

But when Wathalia meets with Prince Michel of Bramford, she finds that she cannot make love with him, despite the fact that they have been with each other several times before. If she did, that would mean that she has chosen Michel as her mate. Unable to get the face of the man who haunts her dreams out of her mind, Wathalia makes the difficult decision to go on her quest free of any entanglements.

Not far into her journey, she meets Priam, the flesh and blood reality of her dream lover. Both are startled -- he has dreamed of her too -- and they come together with no restraints, eager to get to know each other. When Wathalia discovers who Priam is, will she believe that she has stumbled into a nightmare rather than dream fulfillment?

VIOLET MOONS is a glimpse of a society that is dying. Are Wathalia and Priam the answer to revitalization? The two of them certainly generate enough heat. Nina Nash has a descriptive style that pulls a reader in to see and feel the textures and colors of the landscapes and get to know the characters that are fully developed. The flora and fauna are intriguing and I want a few of those music makers for my garden. The prose is rich and flows like strawberry syrup. VIOLET MOONS is an engaging fantasy. I only wish it was longer.
