A little over four and a half years previously, aliens attacked Earth. The aliens considered their extermination of most of the planets human population as akin to our extermination of mice or roaches. Decades before, the aliens had sent scouts to check out the planet and some of those scouts had sex with humans. They certainly didn’t realize that the two species could be compatible for breeding purposes, but they are. When the aliens realized that some of the few humans left are actually hybrids, they started to treat them as interesting science experiments. This is the story of one such hybrid family.

Rancher Caleb O’Hara has already used his precognitive abilities once to save his wife and brothers from the devastation wreaked by the aliens. Together the family brought everything they thought they’d need for survival and moved to the area of North America now known as the Waste. Luckier than most, Caleb, Jane, Justin and Mick are grateful every day for their continued existence, but trouble is coming and Caleb only sees one way for their family to stay united in the face of danger. It’s time to acknowledge the love that all three brothers feel for Jane, the woman they all grew up around.

But can the O’Hara family accept their situation in this new world before the alien menace comes to the Waste?

Bianca D’Arc has a talent for creating fascinating new worlds peopled by incredibly interesting characters who come to life right before your eyes. HARA’S LEGACY is certainly no exception to this rule. Caleb is the eldest brother, and he feels responsible for his entire family and also somewhat guilty for being the lucky man who got to marry Jane. Justin is the middle brother, former Special Ops and possessing that undeniable “bad boy” appeal. Mick is the youngest brother, and shortly before Caleb called them home to prepare for the coming invasion, Mick had been attending veterinary college, now he’s their doctor and vet combined. The quietest one of all the brothers, Mick has his own special charm. Jane is blessed (or cursed depending on the situation) with a gift of empathy. She loves all of the O’Hara brothers, each in their own way, and she’s determined to do right by them all. The passion and love shared by all of these characters will cause more than a few pleasurable shivers to run up and down your spine.

The most significant secondary character would have to be the alien woman, Mara. Coming from a race who possess many gifts, emotions definitely not among them, Mara is at times likable and somewhat scary. Her impressions of the O’Haras are incredibly important to their survival. The decisions this beautiful but cold alien makes could very well lead to the ultimate demise or survival of Caleb, his family, and possibly, the rest of humanity.
