Erotic Fantasy Romance

Mystic Isle; other locations in and around Lake Superior, Michigan – Present

Jonny O’Dawg, lead singer of the group, Seventh Sojourn, has been missing for years.  Peggy Schmidt has heard that he might be on an island in Lake Superior.  Surprised when she gets permission to go check out the rumor from her New York Times editor, Peggy sets out on what she believes will be a small adventure.

Despite warnings from the young man who ferried her to Mystic Isle that she should not be there, Peggy sends him off with instructions to come back the next day.  Brent Barnard is not Jonny O’Dawg, but he does own Mystic and would like nothing better than to deep-six Peggy when he finds the young intruder on his property.

But, Brent does have a secret.  He is a research biochemist and there are several who would like to kill him for what he took from his last job.  When her guide returns to pick her up, she decides to stay a little longer and foolishly sends a note to Sharon, a friend at the Times, asking for information on Dr. Jeff Redmond a/k/a Brent Barnard.  Although they are falling in love, Jeff could cheerfully wring her neck when he learns what she has done.  Problem is, they don’t have time to argue because the bad guys are after them.

While dodging government agents Peggy comes up with an idea that will throw everyone off their scent and let Peggy and Jeff escape to safety.  ISLE OF INTRIGUE is a gripping, excellently crafted story with a dark mysterious hero and a curious intelligent heroine.  The dialogue is crisp and uncluttered.  Be ready for a treat and don’t miss ISLE OF INTRIGUE.
