Present Day

Twyla MacAlister is a little shocked when she suddenly finds herself standing in front of a Scottish castle, but this is only the beginning for her.  Despite the fact that her height and build have often led people to refer to her as an Amazon, Twyla does not see herself as a warrior – but according to Danu, the owner of the castle – that’s exactly what Twyla is.  Throughout the ages the Hussies have fought beside their soul mates, and now it is Twyla’s turn.  The first thing she’ll have to do is find the man.

After his discharge from the military, Jhett Ramsey became a mercenary, but a mission gone horribly wrong has him still living in hell, even though the torture has stopped.  He’s living on the road, trying to outrun the nightmares, when Twyla finds him and asks for his help with a mission.  Returning to the Ukraine, where he’d been captured and tortured, is the last thing Jhett wants to do, yet something about this compelling woman makes it impossible to say no.  But is he ready to face his worst nightmare?

FLYBOY is part sizzling erotic tale and part adventure/suspense.  Twyla considers herself a computer geek in spite of her martial arts skill and is a bit uncomfortable with the metaphysical things that Danu tries to teach her.  She’s also a little unsure when she first goes out into the field on her mission, but that quickly changes, and she realizes that there may just be a Hussy warrior inside her after all.  A strong character, Twyla meets her match in Jhett, who managed to survive his capture, pretty much mentally intact.  He’s still haunted by his experiences, but unlike others who were captured, Jhett can still function.  The tension between them builds steadily as both Twyla and Jhett try to deny their attraction to one another while being forced to work together for the mission.

Another tempting tale in the Hussies series, FLYBOY is one you won’t want to miss.
